Fused Silica (SiO2) Windows/Rods

Fused silica is the amorphous form of quartz crystal.  Advantages of fused silica material include the extremely good transparency from UV to IR, low coefficient of thermal expansion, large resistance to thermal shock over large temperature excursions, wide thermal operating range and high laser damage threshold.

Our fused silica windows/rods are fabricated from high quality UV grade fused silica glass (UVFS). An extremely large range of thickness/length from 0.15 mm to 150 mm is achievable. Various high quality HR, AR, and partial reflective coatings are available upon request.
